PLDT Enterprise has strengthened Riviera Golf Club’s on-course operations and customer experience by providing satellite-based connectivity across the club’s expansive property through PLDT Satellite Internet via Starlink.
In a statement, PLDT Enterprise said the partnership aims to address long-standing connectivity challenges in remote areas of the golf course, particularly in tea houses and other customer-facing facilities, without the need for extensive cabling.
Riviera Golf Club, a premier championship golf destination in Cavite, is known for its uniquely designed courses and focus on personalized service for members and guests. As part of its efforts to improve operational efficiency and service quality, the club adopted satellite internet to support essential applications, including restaurant point-of-sale systems, while ensuring synchronization with its main clubhouse operations.
PLDT Enterprise noted that the solution enables seamless, reliable connectivity across the property, allowing customer services to remain efficient and uninterrupted even in areas traditionally difficult to connect.
Riviera Golf Club President Alex Escalona expressed appreciation for the continued partnership with PLDT Enterprise, citing the impact of the satellite solution on the club’s operations.
“Riviera Golf Club expresses its deep gratitude for the consistent and quality service provided by PLDT Enterprise—from our long-standing connectivity and wireless plans to this new satellite connectivity solution that has greatly helped connect our tea houses and elevate customer experience,” Escalona said.
PLDT Enterprise Vice President and Head of Enterprise Revenue Group Jay Lagdameo said the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the leisure and recreation sector through digital innovation.
“Golf provides a seamless flow of fun and relaxing experience. In line with this, we are committed to supporting Riviera Golf Club as it enhances its operations and elevates the experience of its members and guests,” Lagdameo said. “Through PLDT Satellite Internet, we are helping the Club stay connected across its wide estate while enabling modern digital tools that streamline service delivery. This partnership reflects our mission to deliver solutions that empower organizations to thrive.”
PLDT Enterprise added that Riviera Golf Club has been a long-standing partner, previously relying on the company’s fixed-line, wireless, and mobility solutions to support internal coordination and customer communications.
The partnership underscores PLDT Enterprise’s broader push to help leisure, recreation, and entertainment organizations modernize operations, improve efficiency, and enhance customer engagement through reliable digital infrastructure.
