Maximizing the role of SM Supermalls as one of the country’s most beloved and visited public spaces, SM Prime Holdings Inc. introduces an innovative approach to recycling through the deployment of SM Green Recycling Machines nationwide.
Under the SM Green Movement, the automated Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) innovate proper waste disposal through an intelligent, incentive-based approach. A first in SM Supermalls, each machine maximizes sustainable and active community waste management, where 100 percent of the items collected are recycled to reduce plastic waste leakage into landfills and the ocean. The machines also introduce recycling as a fun activity in the mall.
