From January to December 2024, a total of 3,042 wanted persons were apprehended. In the same period in 2025, this number rose to 3,665 arrests, marking an increase of 623 individuals compared to the previous year, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported over the weekend.
QCPD Acting Director P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio said the significant increase in the arrests of wanted individuals through the successful implementation of the Warrant Day initiative is aligned with the focused agenda of PNP Acting Chief, P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations, and with the guidance of NCRPO Regional Director, P/Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin.
This notable accomplishment, according to Silvio, is largely attributed to the swift and intensified implementation of one of QCPD’s best practices — “Warrant Day,” conducted every Friday to prioritize the immediate service of warrants and the apprehension of wanted persons.
“Through the continued implementation of Warrant Day, we are making our streets safer and ensuring justice for all. Magtulungan po tayo, QCitizens at QCPD, laban sa krimen, by reporting any information about wanted persons through E911 or the QC Helpline 122 for immediate police action,” Silvio said.
