The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has announced the registration of Zen LifeSciences Inc., which is investing P1.2 billion in the Tarlac Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

According to PEZA, Zen LifeSciences Inc. is logged as a new export enterprise at the Luisita Industrial Park-SEZ in Tarlac, following the signing of an agreement signed by PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga and Zen LifeSciences Inc. President Maximo Ponce Balajadia with PEZA Deputy Director General Vivian Santos and Zen LifeSciences Board Chair Zenaida Balajadia as witnesses.

PEZA said Zen LifeSciences Inc. will engage in the production of pharmaceutical products used for medical, wellness, and general healthcare, expected to start commercial operations in January 2027, employing more than 90 Filipinos.

“The registration of Zen LifeSciences Inc. is aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s thrust to strengthen the country’s pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities and reduce reliance on imported medicines,” said DG Panga.

“By locating in a PEZA ecozone, this project will not only help ensure a stable supply of quality, locally made health products here and abroad, but also create meaningful employment and economic opportunities for communities in Tarlac and nearby areas.”
