A 21-year-old drug suspect was arrested during a pre-dawn buy-bust operation in Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City, early Saturday morning, 17 January.
At around 3:05 a.m., operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Parañaque City Police Station conducted the operation along Bayabas Street, Purok 7, Sampaloc Site 2, after receiving verified information on the suspect’s alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
The operation led to the arrest of the suspect, identified only by the alias MJ, a resident of the same barangay. Police classified the suspect as a high-value individual, who was apprehended after allegedly selling suspected dangerous drugs to an undercover operative.
Recovered during the operation were approximately 70 grams of suspected shabu, consisting of one heat-sealed plastic sachet weighing about five grams as the subject of the sale, and 13 additional sachets weighing around 65 grams. The total estimated value of the seized drugs was P476,000.
Authorities also confiscated the marked buy-bust money, composed of one genuine P1,000 bill and boodle money, along with a pink coin purse and a green-cased iPhone cellular phone allegedly used in the transaction.
The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of the Parañaque City Police Station and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
