“These witnesses may truly know the truth. They should not allow themselves to be deceived,” Castro said.
Castro emphasized that the public has the right to know the full truth and that these individuals could be key to holding those truly responsible for the alleged anomalies accountable.
Meanwhile, according to a social media post by journalist Ramon Tulfo, an alleged part of the Duterte camp’s game plan involves granting executive clemency to three of the individuals.
Tulfo claimed that the three former DPWH engineers were considering withdrawing their earlier confessions related to the alleged flood control scam in anticipation of political developments involving Vice President Sara Duterte, including a possible impeachment case.
