In a New Year statement, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged Filipinos to welcome 2026 with discipline, confidence, and a shared commitment to building a better Philippines.
“As we step into 2026, I therefore call on every Filipino to embrace the year with discipline, confidence, and a shared commitment to our nation’s progress,” the President said.
He added that Filipinos should reflect on 2025, particularly on the challenges, lessons, and achievements it brought.
“For beyond personal resolutions, the new year calls on us to examine how we live with one another, how we lift one another, and how our choices shape our nation,” he added.
Marcos also highlighted his administration’s continued commitment “in pursuing a Bagong Pilipinas that nurtures unity, fosters compassion and showcases the greatness of our kababayans.”
The statement ended with Marcos calling on Filipinos to renew their dedication to a future shaped not only by circumstance but by the strength of their will and the clarity of their collective purpose, guided by a clearer understanding of their roles in one another’s lives.
