A SMART HOME IS SAFE

Filipino home ownership is becoming more prevalent, and home security is now one of consumers’ top priorities. Modern technology has made securing one’s home easier than ever, with many Filipinos turning to smart home systems for added safety and peace of mind. However, these solutions are often priced out of reach or overly complicated to set up and operate.

To address these challenges, Philips has launched the EasyKey 720 — a streamlined, competitively priced and user-friendly smart lock designed to simplify home security. More than just a doorknob, the EasyKey 720 offers multilayer protection and surveillance aimed at giving homeowners confidence and convenience.

Once installed, setup is straightforward: Users connect the device to their home Wi-Fi and manage all features through the Philips Home Access app.

The system includes biometric options such as palm-vein recognition and fingerprint scanning, allowing homeowners to unlock their doors with a wave of the hand or a quick touch. In Daily Tribune’s office test, installation was quick, and palm-vein registration took only seconds. Up to 50 palm prints and 100 fingerprint profiles can also be stored and managed within the app.

For added security, the EasyKey 720 offers a digital PIN keypad for a personal six to 12 digit personal PIN code, as well as two compact key cards and a manual key as a backup in case of technical issues. The device also comes equipped with a built-in CCTV camera, enabling users to see who is at their doorstep anytime, anywhere. The Philips Home Access app sends real-time notifications whenever someone rings the doorbell or opens the door.

Inside the home, the system features a bolt lock activated by a switch. Power comes from a proprietary rechargeable battery, with a charger included in the package. A full charge lasts up to three months and takes only three hours.

Installation costs as low as P1500 within Metro Manila, with a two-year warranty. The EasyKey 720 available in official Philips stores, L SmartLounge in Greenhills and Ayala Solenad, as well as online via the flagship Philips Home access store on Lazada.

Priced at P48,000, the Philips EasyKey 720 offers an affordable alternative to other premium smart home security systems. With its wide range of robust features and ease of use, it delivers reliable protection and peace of mind — right at your fingertips.
