Officials formally kicked off construction of the Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Complex (Kamic) in Barangay Kalikid Sur in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, the first agricultural machinery factory in the country, on 10 December 2025.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kamic, said it will produce advanced machines that will modernize local farmers’ operation and ease their labor.
The President added that with KAMIC, farmers no longer have to wait for spare parts for their equipment.
Kamic will mass produce designs and prototypes by the Agricultural Machinery Design and Prototyping Center, which was inaugurated on 7 December 2023, at the PHilMech headquarters in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.
