Makati City police arrested a 24-year-old man on Sunday, 14 December, in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman outside a fast-food establishment in Barangay Singkamas, Makati City.
The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. along Adelina Street, where responding officers found the victim, identified only as “Daniella,” suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect, identified by the alias “Franz,” were former romantic partners and had an altercation prior to the stabbing. Authorities said the suspect allegedly attacked the victim during the confrontation before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.
Investigators secured the crime scene and conducted an on-site examination. The victim was identified with the assistance of a witness who personally knew the suspect.
A hot pursuit operation led to the suspect’s arrest at around 8:50 a.m. along Angono Rizal Avenue in Angono, Rizal. He was apprehended while riding a white Honda PCX motorcycle believed to have been used as the getaway vehicle.
The suspect is currently in police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges.
