'The beauty of the night'

They sang the praises of the morn,
How light shines and crosses the fields,
Blanketing it with the golden glow,
And wielding the power of hope it yields.

When darkness came and draped itself,
They fled and closed their eyes and slept.
The night wrapped us in a cloth of black;
They feared the unknown and secrets it kept.

In the expanse of the canvas of the night,
Everything is possible and real and true.
With every sound and rustle in its stead,
The mind flourishes, awakens its powers anew.

Black held me like a newborn babe,
Promising me control of the unknown.
What many fear, I yearn to seek,
For in its embrace, I am never alone.

Imagination unfurls in the darkness,
And every possibility expands and explores.
There is no limit to what we can or cannot find;
The night offers us countless doors.

When we learn to let go of our naive eyes,
The night offers us another way to see,
And its gift may be different and strange,
But it offers you the chance to be free.

Not a soul judges under darkness’s watch.
It lets you hide yourself from the mundane world.
The only rule of the night is to be and let be,
For in it, you are exquisite, your potentials unfurled.

Woe once more to those who refuse darkness’s power,
Those who never realize the majesty of its hold.
They may never see what lies beyond its doors,
Where one can be unabashedly bold.

Night, darkness, black canvas of the sky,
You held the moon and stars in your embrace.
You spoke to me and made me your child.
In you, forever, I have found my place.
