Manila City Hall announced Sunday that its taxpayers lounge area will be open today despite Monday being a special non-working holiday for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the principal patroness of the Philippines.

The Office of the City Treasurer’s taxpayers lounge will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accept early Real Property Tax (RPT) payments, allowing residents to avail of significant discounts.

Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso clarified that City Hall is opening specifically for taxpayers who wish to pay early to take advantage of the discounts and avoid the rush during regular working days.

“Please be reminded that the city hall taxpayers lounge will be open only for those who will pay RPT, even if 8 December 2025, falls on a holiday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,” Domagoso said.

The city is offering the following early payment discounts — a 20 percent discount will be given for payments made on or before 10 December; a 15 percent discount will apply for payments made from 11 December up to 29 December 2025; and a 10 percent discount will be offered to those who pay from 30 December 2025 to 31 January 2026.
