Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) on Saturday touted a major win in its anti-illegal drugs campaign following the arrest of two high-value individuals (HVIs) during a joint buy-bust operation in Brgy. San Francisco, Panabo City, on 5 December.
The suspects, identified only as alias Gang and alias Cesar, were apprehended by a combined team from Panabo City Police Station, Davao Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit (DNPIU), 2nd Davao Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd DNPMFC), Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11 (RPDEU 11), and PDEA Davao del Norte.
Authorities seized multiple sachets and knot-tied plastic cellophane containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu, with a total estimated weight of 4,060 grams and a street value of approximately P27.6 million.
Other items recovered included one genuine P1,000 bill used as marked money, P100,000 in boodle money, a black Manjaru backpack, and a dark-blue Jansport bag.
The arrested individuals and all confiscated items are now under the custody of Panabo City Police Station for documentation and filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PRO 11 Regional Director P/BGen. Leon Victor Rosete reaffirmed vowed to intensify operations against drug personalities across the Davao Region.
Rosete also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any drug-related activities to help maintain peace and order in the region.
