PANABO CITY — In a major win against illegal drugs, authorities seized an estimated P27.6 million worth of suspected shabu in a high-stakes operation in Barangay Francisco early on 5 December.
Police arrested two high-value targets, known only by their aliases “Gang” and “Cesar,” during a carefully coordinated, intelligence-driven sting. The operation involved the Panabo City Police Station, Davao del Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit, 2nd Davao Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11, and the PDEA Davao del Norte.
Officials recovered 4,060 grams of shabu — worth over P27 million — along with marked money and boodle cash used in the buy-bust. Police described the haul as one of the largest in the city this year.
The suspects are now in custody and will face charges under RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Authorities promised that operations will continue as they work to dismantle drug networks in the region.
