The Southern Police District (SPD) deployed 1,261 personnel for the second scheduled Trillion Peso March and the commemoration of the 162nd Bonifacio Day on Sunday.
The deployment took effect on 4:00 a.m., on 30 November where police are stationed across key points in Manila, including Arlegui Street, J.P. Laurel Street, Nagtahan, Nicanor Padilla Street, and the U.S. Embassy, along with areas under SPD’s jurisdiction in Taguig, Makati, including the Senate, Department of Energy, Bonifacio Monument, and Forbes Park.
Seventy-one officers will man border control points in Muntinlupa, Parañaque, and Las Piñas for traffic management. Another 867 officers will remain on standby.
SPD said all personnel were instructed to observe maximum tolerance and follow human rights protocols. Civil Disturbance Management units were prohibited from carrying firearms.
A no-fly and no-drone zone will also be enforced in the activity areas.
The second Trillion Peso March is a follow-up to the large-scale anti-corruption rally held last 21 September.
