The holiday season officially kicked off in the South with the dazzling lighting of its 45-foot Christmas tree at the Garden Atrium of Evia Lifestyle Center in Las Piñas. The lighting ceremony was led by Vista Mall Group head Jing Liaz and Evia Lifestyle Center Mall head Engr. Dexter Perdon, and revealed the tree and the guest of the night, Santa Claus, followed by a fireworks display.
The tree, adorned with sparkling Christmas lights and large Christmas balls, features a large chandelier illuminating its peak, and creating an illusion of light bursting and spreading across the sky. The tree’s classic Christmas look has become a staple of the season, and this year’s display does not disappoint, truly a head turner at the center of the mall.
One of the highlights of the night was the performance by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, which serenaded the crowd with classic Christmas songs and pop hits, including Ariana Grande’s hits and the Grammy-nominated song “Golden,” one of the official soundtracks of the movie, K-pop Demon Hunters. The music hyped up the crowd and set the tone for a joyous holiday season.
