Ahtisa Manalo may have concluded her Miss Universe 2025 campaign with a Third Runner-Up finish, but her mission is far from over. The Filipina standout is channeling her global spotlight into something much deeper—her continuous work with Alon Akademie, a nonprofit focused on education, leadership development, and youth empowerment.
Her commitment to the organization became one of the defining moments of finals night. During the question-and-answer segment, she spoke about her involvement with young people from Alon Akademie, earning one of the loudest cheers of the evening. Days later, she reinforced that message on social media.
“I will continue working with @alonakademie using my platform to make sure that people who come from low income backgrounds are given the same opportunities as everyone else,” she wrote on Instagram.
An Advocacy Rooted in Education and Heart
Ahtisa’s partnership with Alon Akademie first captured attention during the “Beyond the Crown” challenge, where she introduced the organization’s mission. Her advocacy video highlighted a systemic gap in Filipino youth development—one that Alon aims to address.
“We prepare workers, but rarely leaders. We train minds, but not always hearts,” she said. She added a striking statistic: “Today, more than 2.1 million young Filipinos are not in school, not employed, and not trained — not because they lack potential, but because no one showed them how to use it.”
With her authentic message and compelling presentation, Manalo secured third place in the “Beyond the Crown” segment, while Paraguay’s Yanina Ojeda took the top award.
A Broader Definition of Winning
Even after the crown slipped away, Ahtisa’s reflections remained grounded and optimistic. In another social media post, she emphasized that titles are not the only measure of success.
“Winning goes beyond the title,” she wrote—an outlook that resonated deeply with supporters who followed her long-awaited Miss Universe journey.
Her Top 5 placement marks the Philippines’ best performance at Miss Universe since 2021, when Beatrice Luigi Gomez reached the semifinals in Israel. For many Filipinos, Ahtisa’s return to the global stage after years of anticipation felt like a triumph in itself.
Moving Forward with Purpose
As Mexico’s Fatima Bosch begins her reign as Miss Universe 2025, Ahtisa steps into the next chapter of her advocacy work—more determined than ever to uplift communities and champion opportunities for underserved Filipino youth.
With a strengthened platform and a renewed sense of purpose, Ahtisa Manalo’s impact promises to extend far beyond the Miss Universe stage.
