Ahtisa Manalo is drawing a clear line under the rumors. In her first televised interview after returning from Bangkok, the Miss Universe 2025 Third Runner-Up addressed speculation surrounding the supposed Miss Universe Asia 2025 title—firmly stating that it was never offered to her.
In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Ahtisa candidly recalled how the assumptions began long before she even learned the truth.
“Nag-assume pa nga ako. Even before in-offer sa ’kin, sabi ko kay Mama J [Jonas Gaffud], ‘pag nag offer sila, ’wag na natin tanggapin,’” she said.
“Pero in-assume ko lang, ’di naman in-offer sa’kin,” Ahtisa clarified.
Her straightforward response silenced weeks of fan speculation, reaffirming that the rumored continental title was never part of her Miss Universe experience.
A triumphant return
Fresh from her Bangkok journey, Ahtisa arrived home in late November to an outpouring of pride and appreciation from Filipinos. The following day, she embarked on a celebratory homecoming parade, where crowds lined the streets to welcome her back—reflecting how deeply her performance resonated with her supporters.
After 18 years in pageantry—from local competitions in Quezon to the global Miss Universe stage—Ahtisa capped her journey with a remarkable Third Runner-Up finish. Her placement continued the Philippines’ long-standing tradition of excellence in international beauty contests.
This year’s competition concluded with Mexico’s Fatima Bosch securing the Miss Universe 2025 crown, closing an edition filled with standout contestants, powerful advocacies, and emotional moments.
