CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Five wanted individuals, including a 76-year-old man listed as a Most Wanted Person for sexual assault, were apprehended in a series of manhunt operations across Nueva Ecija on 18 and 19 November 2025.
The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO), under the leadership of PCOL Heryl Bruno, conducted the operations, targeting individuals with outstanding warrants of arrest.
In Sto. Domingo, a joint team of police units arrested a 76-year-old resident of Barangay Sto. Rosario, wanted for sexual assault in relation to RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act). A bail of P200,000 had been recommended.
Separate operations by police in Gapan, Cabanatuan, San Isidro, and Gen. Tinio resulted in the arrest of four other individuals wanted for estafa (fraud), violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act), and falsification of documents.
"These arrests show we're serious about keeping our communities safe. We won't let criminals disrupt the peace here in Nueva Ecija," Bruno said in a statement.
He added the operations are in line with Regional Director Rogelio Peñones’ overall strategy to reduce crime and maintain peace across Central Luzon.
The arrested individuals are currently in the custody of the respective operating police units.
