Chinabank set up shop at the SM Mall of Asia Entertainment Mall from 13 to 19 November, offering mallgoers an easier way to sort out their car loan needs without the usual back-and-forth. The weeklong stop, called the AutoPlus Car Loan Fast Lane, turns a regular mall visit into a chance to complete several banking errands in one go.
Anyone curious about getting a new car could walk up to the booth, file an application, and get evaluated on the spot. Chinabank staff handles everything digitally, so applicants can open a deposit account or even receive a credit card within minutes. The whole process, from start to approval, was designed to wrap up in about half an hour.
According to Bombi Dominguez, who heads Chinabank’s Mortgage and Factoring Business Group, the Fast Lane is their way of making the car-buying process less intimidating. He said many Filipinos put off owning a car because of the long lines and requirements, and this setup was meant to show that it doesn’t always have to be that complicated.
Visitors could also check out financing options tailored to different needs. Staff at the booth help match customers with various car brands and dealership partners while explaining flexible payment terms.
By bringing these services out of the branch and into a busy public space, Chinabank hopes to make banking feel more accessible.
