Around 1,000 relief packs were distributed by AboitizPower, through its private limited partnerships GMEC and GNPD, in the town of Mariveles on 11 November 2025.
According to AboitizPower, the relief distribution aimed to assist communities in the town that were affected by Typhoon Uwan.
The operation focused on families currently staying in evacuation centers across the municipality. Each of the 1,000 grocery bags contained rice and other essential supplies to support residents displaced by the typhoon.
The companies said 200 packs were delivered to Sitio Dinginin, while 100 packs each were allocated to Barangay Alas-asin, Barangay Sisiman, and Barangay BASECO.
All relief goods were delivered directly to the respective barangay evacuation centers.
In addition, a larger portion of 500 relief packs was turned over to the local government of Mariveles and the Provincial Government of Bataan. These packs are on standby for distribution to other affected residents identified by local officials.
The initiative is part of the power companies' ongoing support to help their host communities recover from the calamity.
