Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has started accepting reservations for its first fully electric vehicle or Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) crossover SUV, the all-new bZ4X. Reservations opened on 7 November, and the model will reach local dealerships this December. This marks a new chapter in Toyota’s effort to expand its electrified lineup in the country.

The arrival of the bZ4X shows Toyota’s entry into what could be the country’s new “electric avenue,” where local roads slowly begin to welcome more plug-in vehicles. It’s a significant move for the brand and for Filipino drivers who are curious about living with an EV while still relying on Toyota’s trusted network.

The company said the move supports its multi-pathway approach toward carbon neutrality. “Our multi-pathway approach is all about giving customers multiple options. I hope more Filipinos can join us in our movement toward carbon neutrality with the all-new bZ4X,” Masando Hashimoto, TMP president, said.

Toyota has focused on giving customers several paths to cleaner mobility rather than pushing only one solution. The bZ4X is the brand’s first battery electric vehicle in the Philippines. It gives Filipino car owners a chance to experience a full EV backed by Toyota’s reliability and after-sales support.

The new bZ4X will be available in four colors, namely Emotional Red, Precious Metal, Platinum White Pearl Mica and Dark Blue Mica. It has a starting price of P2,699,000.

Toyota described the bZ4X as a model that blends confident design with features built for everyday use. The company hopes this will make the move to sustainable driving easier for Filipinos.

Toyota Motor Philippines continues to grow its range of electrified options alongside its conventional lineup. The arrival of the bZ4X now gives local buyers their first chance to experience a full battery electric vehicle from their trusted brand.
