Government workers are the first to feel the Christmas breeze as the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) announced that it will release year-end bonuses and cash gifts as early as the first payroll of November 2025.
“Pursuant to Budget Circular No. 2024-3, the year-end bonus and P5,000 cash gift will be released with the first agency payroll of November 2025,” DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman announced in a statement.
“We know how much government personnel look forward to this time of the year not just because it’s the season of giving, but because it’s a well-deserved recognition of their service and sacrifice,” Pangandaman added.
The year-end bonus is equivalent to one month of basic pay as of October 31, while the P5,000 cash gift is given annually to reward the hard work and dedication of government workers nationwide, according to the Budget department.
The DBM has allocated a total of P63.69 billion for the fiscal year 2025, covering nearly 1.85 million government employees across the country.
