The Supreme Court clarified on Tuesday, 4 August 2025, that no motion or manifestation has been filed regarding the determination of parliamentary districts for the first regular election of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Supreme Court spokesperson Atty. Camille L. Ting said in a statement responding to media inquiries that questions on the deadline for the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) to finalize the region’s parliamentary districts “should be addressed to the BARMM authorities.”
She emphasized that the Supreme Court has not received any related filing on the matter.
The BTA, serving as the interim government of the BARMM, is mandated to enact a regional law defining the parliamentary districts ahead of the first regular elections for the Bangsamoro Parliament.
