CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Days before bracing for the rigorous task of securing cemeteries, transport hubs, and areas of convergence for the Undas holiday, five police couples seized a moment of calm to exchange vows in a PRO3-hosted mass wedding ceremony on 29 October 2025 — a heartfelt prelude to their duty-bound All Saints’ Day operations.
The couples, primarily assigned to high-demand areas such as Olongapo City and Angeles City, included personnel ranging from a police lieutenant to non-commissioned officers (PNCOs), with one bridegroom serving as an Army Private First Class (PFC). Among them was the event’s oldest pair, both 50 years old, proving that love knows no age — even in the line of duty.
Initiated by PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., the mass wedding at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel underscored the agency’s commitment to strengthening family bonds. “Amid the chaos of securing Undas, we prioritize what matters most: the people who make our service possible,” Peñones Jr. said during the ceremony, which was officiated by PLTCOL Rev. Fr. Jonathan Chy, PRO3’s Regional Pastoral Officer.
The newlyweds received tokens and blessings from PRO3 leadership, symbolizing institutional support for their dual roles as protectors of communities and nurturers of families. The initiative aligns with the PNP’s Focused Agenda under Acting Chief PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., emphasizing personnel welfare alongside the 3Ps Advocacy — Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.
A simple reception followed at the PRO3 Multi-Purpose Hall, where the couples, their families, and fellow officers shared a moment of levity over meals — a brief respite before the demanding Undas security operations. The event not only celebrated love but also reinforced PRO3’s ethos: that a supported police force is a resilient one.
