The trend gained further attention after guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s 3 July wedding reportedly used QR codes to enter the venue as part of its security measures.
Wedding platform Zola also reported a 42.5 percent increase in QR codes included on save-the-date cards and invitations between 2024 and 2026.
Beyond digital invitations, couples are using QR codes to direct guests to wedding websites, locate assigned seats, upload photos and videos, view event schedules, and even access menu details and translations during ceremonies.
