San Sebastian College has been hounded with financial issues in Season 101 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men's basketball tournament.

Speaking after their 82-81 upset over powerhouse Letran College, Stags head coach Rob Labagala said they have yet to receive their alowances from chief backer Star Horse as they are just doing their best to get by with what they have.

“Speaking of heart, we didn't just showed our heart in the game but how we committ and win even with the struggles we are facing. Just to give you an idea, we are four months na walang salary at allowance but we continue to fight," Labagala said.

"It’s not about fighting sa court, we're also fighting for life."

Labagala, a former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player, is hoping thei backers will be able to deliver on their promise of paying up their players on time.

"Our sponsor right now, sad to say they weren’t able to deliver. I hope they deliver," Labagala said.

San Sebastian has so far won two out of its nine games in the NCAA.
