I choose you in every lifetime.

Don't you know, you're my lifeline?

I hate how fragile human memory is, how it fails to transcend the infinite dimensions of time and space. I have this feeling that I've met you before, but I can't place when and where and how. Hell, I can't even remember your face. And yet, when I close my eyes and enter the space of reality where the lights are blurry and it sounds like I'm underwater, it's almost like I can touch you. In my dreams, I trace the line of your veins, like studying a map that leads to the heart of Rome. I dance with you, and we glide across multiple lifetimes where our souls always find each other, no matter the distance or how long it takes.

We aren't made for each other.

To imply such a thing means we are predetermined.

No, dear. We built this beautiful love together,

A pattern on a canvas of our interlaced fingerprints.

At first, I dismissed these dreams as silly fantasies of a lonely heart and mind. After all, life brings me long years and slow days. People move around me like a kaleidoscope of lives I'll never know and touch. But when I see you in my dreams, the time I've waited finally makes sense. Whenever I try to speak your name, a melody comes out and it is the sweetest sound I have ever heard. Too bad that the most beautiful sounds are hardly remembered for the notes they reach, but instead stay in the mind because of how they made people feel. And dear, your name is a taste of heaven. A dash of sweetness. A chrysalis of peace. What is your name? I never remember to ask you, because when I am with you, it doesn't even occur to me that I don't know who you are.

To dreams woven with our heartstrings,

To memories formed with the stars,

To everything I feel when I am with you and more,

I'll raise a toast to the promise that I'll find you,

No matter how far.
