San Beda University looks to tighten its grip on the top spot of Group B as it takes on Arellano University in Season 101 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Centre
Game time is at 12 p.m. as the Red Lions will be entering fresh after taking a long break following their 79-70 victory over defending champion Mapua University last week.
San Beda currently holds a 4-1 record in Group B.
For Lions rookie Janti Miller, getting everyone involved on offense is his main objective.
“I mean, like this game showed, if I’m not scoring, Yuki (Andrada) is going to score. If Yuki’s not going to score, Nygel (Gonzales) is going to score. We have other players on the team who can carry the scoring load,” said Miller, who shot 22 points against the Cardinals.
“We all know that other teams might have a game plan against me, so I’m just telling the team to look for different angles for me to, how do I explain it, contribute to the team, whether it’s rebounding, steals, or scoring, of course.”
Meanwhile, the Chiefs, who have a 3-3 record in Group A, are coming off a big 72-67 victory over College of Saint Benilde last Sunday.
