Telecommunications company DITO Telecommunity Corp. has partnered with AdventEnergy, the retail electricity supply arm of Aboitiz Power Corp., to supply power to 1,642 cell towers with a total energy demand of 13.8 megawatts (MW).

The towers, located mostly in Greater Manila, South Luzon, and North Luzon, are essential to DITO’s operations serving 15 million subscribers across the country.

AdventEnergy said Thursday the partnership enables DITO to leverage the Retail Aggregation Program of the Energy Regulatory Commission, which allows enterprises to combine electricity demand across multiple facilities to participate in the competitive retail electricity market.

Aboitiz Group President and CEO Sabin Aboitiz said the partnership reflects the group’s broader push for sustainable and future-ready business solutions.

“We are not only delivering reliable and sustainable energy but also synergizing to create solutions that benefit generations to come. This is especially important in a predominantly digital world,” Aboitiz said.

AdventEnergy added that its “Always-on Innovation” philosophy underpins this initiative, as it continues to deliver smarter, more efficient, and integrated energy solutions.

DITO Telecommunity President and CEO Eric Alberto, on the other hand, cited the importance of the partnership, saying reliable power is vital to the telecommunications industry.

“Our partnership with AdventEnergy goes more than just an energy supply contract,” Alberto said. “This is an investment that will keep millions of Filipinos connected, informed, and empowered in today’s fast-paced digital world.”
