Gordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, will have official visit to the Republic of the Philippines from 12 to 14 October 2025. On that occasion, to celebrate the friendship between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of the Philippines, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Jakarta have organized a concert “Echoes of Croatia in Philippines.”
The concert will feature Chriztel Renae Aceveda, a young soprano originally from Pampanga, Philippines, living in Sveti Martin na Muri, Croatia, since 2020. Aceveda will be accompanied by the two teachers — renowned Croatian mezzo-soprano Blanka Tkalcić and pianist Danijel Oto. Through her singing, Chriztel celebrates her second homeland — Croatia — while remaining proudly connected to her Filipino roots.
Aceveda is a gifted second-year preparatory student of the Varaždin Music School. The Croatian public got to know her through her participation in, and subsequently, winning the popular show Supertalent in 2023, where she promoted Croatian musical heritage by performing traditional Medimurje songs. Last February, Aceveda performed at the inauguration of Croatian President Zoran Milanović.
The concert will be held at the Mind Museum, Special Exhibition Hall today, 12 October, at 19:30 p.m.
