In a social media post, PSB Sports announced that Sina Vahedi struck a deal with the Bolts, making him their Asian reinforcement in the prestigious international tournament.
The 24-year-old Vahedi is no stranger to the PBA.
In fact, he averaged 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.0 steals to help Tabiat Basketball reach the quarterfinals of the Basketball Champions League Asia last July.
He is also a veteran campaigner in the FIBA West Asia Super League and was even named in the All-Star Five of the FIBA Asia Cup last July in Saudi Arabia, where he posted 17.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.0 steal to lead Team Melli to the bronze medal of the continental event.
Vahedi is expected to serve as quarterback together with foreign playerRondae Hollis-Jefferson and naturalized Justin Brownlee for the Bolts, who are looking to become the first Filipino team to secure the EASL title.
