Green GSM and the Xentro Group have agreed to work together on an all-electric ride-hailing push across the Philippines. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding that lines up 2,000 VinFast electric vehicles for future use on the Green GSM platform.

The first 1,000 units are already secured. The rest will arrive within two years once approvals are in place.

The fleet will carry the co-branding Green Xentro powered by Green GSM. Operations will focus on Metro Manila and other major cities after the required regulatory steps are completed. The cars will wear Green GSM’s cyan color and follow the brand’s eco standards used in other markets.

VinFast models are known for quiet running, zero tailpipe emissions, and simple, comfortable cabins. The goal is to give commuters a cleaner ride that still feels familiar.

Green GSM began deploying its all-electric service in the country earlier this year. The company is building a partner-based approach to help increase EV adoption while staying aligned with local rules.

Xentro sees the tie-up as a way to back the shift to cleaner transport and to plug sustainable mobility into its wider business.

Xentro Motors plans to use its nationwide Xentro Malls network to make the service easier to reach. The plan includes pick-up zones, EV charging points, and parking areas for drivers. This fits the group’s push to bring more sustainability features into its retail and property sites.

VinFast will support the partnership with maintenance options, charging solutions, and driver services designed for fleets.

Xentro Motors CEO Noel M. Ignacio said the collaboration is a practical step toward better daily commutes and long-term transport goals. He added that pairing electric mobility with the group’s footprint can help move communities forward.

Dao Quy Phi, Green GSM’s managing director for Southeast Asia, called Xentro the brand’s first partner of its kind in the Philippines. He said Green GSM has worked with more than a hundred enterprises in other countries and aims to build the same kind of local partnerships here.

Both sides share the view that real change in mobility takes many hands. By combining Green GSM’s ride-hailing know-how with Xentro’s reach, the partnership hopes to make clean rides easier to find and easier to run. More Filipinos will have access to electric trips for everyday journeys, not just special occasions, if the rollout goes as planned.
