Actor Rachel Brosnahan’s husband, Jason Ralph, has fueled speculation about his wife's personal life after “liking” a comment on Instagram about the star's relationship with her Superman co-star David Corenswet.
The interaction caused an uproar within various spaces when a fan took to the comments section under Ralph’s post on Instagram from June, accusing Brosnahan, 35, of having an affair with Corenswet, 32.
The Instagram comment read: “It’s genuinely sad to see your career being tucked out to be remembered as a cuckold because your wife couldn’t handle herself with her co-actor. Like bro.. let’s have some self love and stand up for yourself man, leave her to be with him if she wants that much at the end of the day.”
Ralph was then met with numerous comments calling out his actions, stating that he was "immature" and "disrespectful" for having interacted with what was written. Meanwhile, others came to the actor's defense and stated that he was "trolling" and "toying with the joke." However, it eventually led to the actor turning off comments on the Instagram post.
Brosnahan and Ralph met in 2013 while filming I’m Obsessed With You: But You’ve Got To Leave Me Alone. They tied the knot just a few short years later. Meanwhile, Corenswet is married to fellow actress Julia Warner, with whom he has a daughter.
The speculation surrounding Brosnahan and Corenswet appears to be stemming from several viral videos, ranging from their promotional junket to a behind-the-scenes video showing that they continued kissing after the director yelled "cut," which surfaced on social media.
During the “Superman” press tour in July, Brosnahan looked back on how she formed a close bond with Corenswet as they stepped into the roles of Superman and Lois Lane.
“We’d had this brief but obviously impactful moment together during our chemistry read… but I think we both left feeling like we didn’t remember anything about it, and wanted to spend some time together,” Brosnahan told People Magazine.
Corenswet also spoke fondly of his co-star, saying, "[She has] many talents. Her incisive inquisitiveness is a great gift to the character and also to her scene partners. So is her facility with language and her appreciation of a good argument. Similes are not my strong suit, but I would say working with her is like standing in the shallows of a river. It’s refreshing and invigorating.”
The New York Post stated that they have reached out to Brosnahan and Ralph’s representatives for comment.
