Government employees can now apply for the GSIS Digital Ginhawa Loan, a new program designed to help members purchase computers, tablets, or mobile phones for work and study.

Starting today, qualified members may borrow up to P60,000, repayable over three years, with a low 6 percent annual interest rate and no service fee.

Applications are accepted exclusively through the GSIS Touch mobile app, ensuring a fast, paperless process. Approved loans are credited directly to the member’s GSIS ATM account within one to three banking days after agency verification.

GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso announced the launch of the Digital Ginhawa Loan, a program designed to help members afford essential gadgets for work and study.

The loan supports the purchase of desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones, and aims to keep members connected not just to their work or studies but also to GSIS's growing suite of digital services.

Through the GSIS Touch app, members can apply for loans, update records, and access benefits from their devices.

Building on the success of the 2020 Computer Loan Program which served over 355,000 members and released over P10.67 billion the new loan is open to active members with permanent appointments, no pending cases, and no defaulted GSIS loans (excluding housing and computer loans).

It also includes Loan Redemption Insurance, which clears the loan in case of the borrower’s death.

GSIS urges members to take advantage of this affordable loan to stay digitally equipped and engaged.
