The Department of Transportation (DoTr) has permanently revoked the driver’s license of a motorist caught on CCTV counterflowing along the Skyway early Saturday morning.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon ordered the lifetime ban after footage taken around 3:32 a.m. showed the driver recklessly driving against oncoming vehicles.
“It is not enough to merely suspend this driver’s license because the CCTV footage clearly shows he endangered the lives of others,” Dizon said in Filipino. “I ordered its permanent revocation so others will not follow his example.”
Dizon urged the public to keep reporting similar incidents to help authorities act swiftly against dangerous driving.
