Two foreign nationals were arrested Friday night after a raid in Barangay Valenzuela, Makati City uncovered an arsenal of high-powered firearms and ammunition.

The intelligence-led operation, conducted by the Makati City Police Station’s Intelligence Section under a court-issued search warrant for violation of Section 28 of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, yielded a black-and-silver .45 Armscor RIA pistol with two magazines containing five live rounds; an additional 9mm magazine; a black-and-silver .357 Taurus revolver with 14 live rounds; a brown .22 sniper rifle with 10 live rounds; and a black 12-gauge Maestro shotgun with a magazine and a box of 20 live rounds.

All firearms were stored in dedicated hard cases — a sign, police said, of deliberate and organized possession.

The suspects failed to present permits for the seized weapons. The evidence was inventoried at the scene in the presence of a barangay official and accredited media, with the procedure documented using body cameras and an alternative recording device in compliance with legal protocols.

Charges for violating RA 10591 are being prepared for inquest proceedings at the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
