Around 130 students will have additional classroom space with the completion of a four-classroom building at Overland Elementary School in Barangay Atilano L. Ricardo, Bagac.
The P13-million project, built by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bataan 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO), has a total floor area of 532 square meters and is designed to promote both hygiene and inclusivity for students.
The facility features male, female, and PWD-friendly restrooms, an accessibility ramp, and a handwashing station. Each classroom is equipped with proper ventilation and furnished to create an effective learning environment.
"I would like to commend our team for their dedication, as this project represents a significant milestone in ensuring that students receive the quality education they deserve,” District Engineer Maribel Navarro said.
Funded through the Department of Education’s Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF) under the 2024 national budget, the new school building aims to accommodate the school’s growing population and reflects the DPWH’s commitment to building infrastructure that meets modern public education standards.
