Orduña, Roda top Rexona Run's Parañaque leg
James Darrel Orduña and Jessa Mae Roda seized the podium by the skin of their teeth to rule the 16K race in the Parañaque leg of the Rexona Metro Manila 10 Miler Series 2025 on Sunday at Parqal Aseana City.
Orduña, who was first place in both the Manila and Muntinlupa legs, timed at 56 minutes and 24 seconds, exactly one second faster than runner-up Ritchie Estampador, who clocked at 56:25 in an exciting finish to the men’s division.
The women would not be left behind, as Roda ran through the tape with the time of one hour, five minutes, and 36 seconds, a second ahead of Edna Magtubo’s 1:05:37.
It’s an exhilarating conclusion to the Parañaque leg in this running series, which has Rexona as title sponsor, organized by RUNRIO, and has Summit as official hydration partner, ION+ as the official electrolyte partner, Anytime Fitness Ayala Malls Manila Bay as gym partner, Olympic Village as redemption partner, and Parqal Aseana City as venue partner.
“It’s a heartwarming sight to see the excitement on the faces of the runners and it’s just a cherry on top na ganito kaganda yung finish sa 16K race natin,” RUNRIO president and chief executive officer Rio de la Cruz said.
Roy Laudit (32:15) was the first to cross the finish line in the men’s 10K, followed by Noli Torre (32:16) and Welmer Jeck Labrador (32:38), while Asia Paraase ran away in the women’s division with her time of 39:36, way ahead of Shiekhy Heart Supremo (45:18) and Maria Jonna Lina Abutas (46:00).
