Authorities reported that a powerful tornado hit three barangays in Cabangan town, Zambales province on Thursday afternoon.

According to Cabangan Councilor Inggo Ronquillo, the tornado has left some properties such as houses, structures and trees damaged, adding that the affected areas do not have electricity.

The local government of Cabangan is currently assessing the damage brought by the tornado.
