Reigning M-Series world champion ONIC PH is going to the Knockout Stage of the Mid Season Cup 2025 following a dominant sweep over Malaysian squad Homebois in the lower bracket semifinal of Group B this Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The world championship roster of K1ngkong, Kelra, Super Frince, Kirk, and Brusko wasted no time in the opening stanza with its Lancelot, Phoveus, Luo Yi, Granger, and Badang lineup copping Game 1 in just 13 minutes.
Homebois lasted a minute longer in Game 2, but was on the receiving end of K1ngkong’s flash plays with his trademark Fanny. In the end, the Philippine squad proved too much for the Malaysians as ONIC PH scored a decisive 2-0 win to cop the series.
“The X factor. I think, was the things we realized after our first match versus Aurora Turkey. [We lacked] chemistry and decision making inside the game,” ONIC PH jungler Cyric "K1ngkong" Perez said after the match.
Now a step closer to the lion’s share of the mega $3,000,000 prize pool, ONIC PH awaits the official draw of the Knockout Stage to find out who they are playing against next.
