Former Mobile Legends North American squad Blood Thirsty Kings, more commonly known as BTK, has officially made its move to Honor of Kings.
Led by team captain Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun, the BTK lineup reunites six of its most recognizable names in North American mobile esports: FwydChickn, Hoon, ZIA, Shark, and Bestplayer1.
"Honor of Kings is a very unique game with countless talented players and a very refreshing gameplay experience," said MobaZane.
"My team and I are learning fast. We will do our best and rally our communities to quickly catch up with the global regions!"
BTK rose to fame when it sent Filipino squad Blacklist International to the lower bracket of the M3 World Championship Playoffs in 2021.
A rematch between the two teams took place in the lower bracket final, where Blacklist International emerged victorious en route to winning the world title.
The BTK roster was initially slated to compete in the upcoming Mid Season Cup 2025 under Team S8UL in Riyadh, where sixteen teams from around the world will vie for a $3,000,000 prize pool.
However, the team was disqualified by tournament organizers after MobaZane and Hoon were seen livestreaming Honor of Kings before the event.
"We can’t wait for BTK to step onto the stage in their first competitive match," said James Yang, Senior Director of the Global Esports Center at Level Infinite, Tencent Games.
"BTK’s move to Honor of Kings comes on the back of the recent news that some of the best mobile MOBA players have joined forces to create a dream team to also compete in Honor of Kings," Yang continued.
"This clearly demonstrates the appeal of Honor of Kings to professional teams, and we hope both teams joining the roster will inspire more players to embark on their own esports journeys."
As of this writing, Honor of Kings has yet to announce BTK's first official match.
