On Tuesday afternoon, the iconic Lobby Lounge of the Makati Shangri-La came back to life. Reminiscent of its glory days in the ‘90s until early 2000, it was the compass of the most wanted and anticipated fashion events in the country.
Manila’s fashion, design, style and social set gathered to witness the unveiling of the limited-edition Jor-el Espina collection inspired by the legendary and iconic Patis Tesoro. The couture-like one of a kind pieces were bursting with color lighting the lobby where everyone enjoyed the afternoon with curated savory and sweets. The art of craft was the tall order and stunningly meticulous creations delightfully satisfied discerning eyes. Heritage and culture were made new as seen through details in contemporary wear. Elevated styling took the entire collective into a more global level of visual narrative and fashion storytelling. This inspirational stewardship and mentorship of Patis to Jo-rel was made possible through the endorsement of the founders of ArteFino: Maritess Pineda, Mita Rufino, Susy Quiros, Cedie Lopez-Vargas, and Marimel Francisco.
In the end, the masterful showcase gathered nods and well-deserved applauses. Fashion once again adds another feather on its cap as it moves to the future with a renewed heirloom.
Heirloom is exclusively available this coming July 31-August 3, 2025 in Artefino, The Fifth at Rockwell, Makati city.
