University of the Philippines (UP) has high hopes for Quentin Millora-Brown as he enters the new phase of his career in the professional ranks.

UP Office for Athletics and Sports Development director Bo Perasol said he is confident that the 24-year-old slotman would do well following a memorable stint for the Fighting Maroons in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines.

The 6-foot-10 Millora-Brown had a memorable debut with the Macau Black Bears with a double-double game of 13 points and 10 rebounds en route to a 95-89 win over the Hong Kong Vantablack Dragons in the fourth leg of The Asian Tournament from 20 to 24 July in Yuncheng, Shanxi, China. He is also set to see action when the Black Bears battle FIBA Asia Cup-bound Gilas Pilipinas on 28 July at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Perasol said Millora-Brown has all the tools to become successful.

“Any team which acquires the services of Q (Millora-Brown) will greatly benefit from what he brings into the table — a wealth of experience and a high level of basketball skills,” Perasol said in an online conversation.

“Gilas is already aware of what Q can do. It's just a matter of time until he can be part of that program.”

In his lone season with the Fighting Maroons, Millora-Brown averaged 9.59 points, 9.94 rebounds, and 1.41 assists in which they beat Kevin Quiambao and powerhouse De La Salle University in a best-of-three championship series in Season 87 of the UAAP men’s basketball tournament.

In his previous statement, Millora-Brown stressed that he is open to see action for Gilas Pilipinas and the Philippine Basketball Association.

Should he decide to throw his name in the next PBA Rookie Draft, Millora-Brown is expected to be taken by Terrafirma with the top overall pick.

But the Filipino-American from Rice University stressed that he is still weighing down all his options.

“You know, it’ll be an amazing opportunity if it comes up, but I’m just taking it one day at a time before I figure out where I’m gonna play next,” Millora-Brown said.
