City of San Fernando, Pampanga - A former rebel surrendered to authorities in Barangay Consuelo, Macabebe, Pampanga on 19 July 2025.
According to the Pampanga Police Provincial Office, a former member of Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon – Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (AMGL-KMP) voluntarily surrendered and withdrew his support from the said group.
The 62 years old surrendered is reportedly single, and currently residing in Barangay Consuelo, Macabebe. He is formerly from Sitio Irung, Barangay Tabun, Mabalacat City.
The voluntary surrender was made possible through the joint efforts of 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of Pampanga PPO, 1st PMFC together with Macabebe MPS and Masantol MPS. The operation was conducted without incident.
The surrenderer was received by the operating units and is now under the custody of Pampanga 1st PMFC for proper documentation and tactical interview.
The former rebel also received financial assistance and food packs as part of the reintegration support facilitated by the operating units.
This surrender highlights the continuing efforts of the Philippine National Police in the Province of Pampanga to encourage peaceful disengagement from radical organizations and ensure community security through lawful means.
