Team Philippines has ended its Mobile Legends Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2025 campaign at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, without a medal.
Two of the tournament favorites, NaVi PH, were the first to exit the competition after suffering an upset at the hands of the unheralded Gaimin Gladiators in the playoff quarterfinals.
The shocking defeat placed NaVi PH in the 5th to 8th bracket, taking home $20,000 from the $500,000 prize pool.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid PH absorbed a one-sided 0-3 sweep against Team Vitality in the semifinals, relegating them to the third-place match against Myanmar’s Terror Queens.
But just like in their semifinal bout, Team Liquid PH suffered another 0-3 defeat to the Myanmar squad, ending their MWI campaign in fourth place and earning a $30,000 prize.
With the country’s MWI 2025 campaign concluded, all eyes now turn to the Mid Season Cup, where a $3 million prize pool awaits. The Group Stage begins Wednesday, 23 July.
