Pheww predicts all-Filipino showdown in MSC final

Two-time M-Series world champion Angelo Kyle "Pheww" Arcangel sees an all-Filipino matchup in the grand final of Mid Season Cup 2025 at the Esports World Cup happening now in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Pheww, the captain of Team Falcons PH, placed third in the last MPL PH Season 15, missing out on the chance to compete at MSC, where sixteen teams from around the world will battle for a staggering $3,000,000 prize pool.

“I think they need to watch out for ONIC Indonesia, the defending champion of MPL Indonesia, and SRG OG, the champion of Malaysia. They are in the top three regions that are always on a podium finish,” Pheww told Daily Tribune.

“I am confident that the two representatives from the Philippines will meet in the finals. Right now, it is hard to predict because I have yet to see their recent games. It is 50-50.”

Team Liquid PH, the MPL PH Season 15 champion, and ONIC PH, the runner-up, are both decorated squads with proven track records on the global stage. But if Pheww had to make a call based on their most recent faceoff, he’s leaning slightly toward the champion.

“But if I were to base it purely on when they last fought, Team Liquid would be the slight favorite because they are the champion,” Pheww stated.
