The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) highlighted its operational and community engagement achievements from 29 June to 5 July 2025, according to acting director P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio.
Silvio reported Sunday that the QCPD, through its QCPD Damayan program, provided P100,000 in burial assistance to the parents of Pat. Harwin Baggay, an officer killed last week while responding to a robbery.
This aid is part of the district’s ongoing morale and welfare initiatives for its personnel.
In terms of health services, the QCPD Medical and Dental Unit served 239 individuals, including police personnel, their families, authorized civilians and persons under police custody.
Services ranged from medical consultations and dental care to chest X-rays and pre-medical evaluations.
To promote excellence within its ranks, the QCPD awarded 1,204 individual commendations and 199 awards to officers for their “dedication, professionalism and exemplary public service.”
The district also focused on strengthening police-community relations, conducting 47 “Barangay Ugnayan” activities across various city neighborhoods. These events aimed to build trust, foster cooperation and encourage shared responsibility for maintaining peace and order.
Additionally, the QCPD facilitated the repair and maintenance of 11 service vehicles, enhancing the mobility and response capabilities of its stations and units.
“These key administrative accomplishments reflect our ongoing efforts to strengthen the internal foundations of QCPD through responsive health services, uplift the morale of our personnel through commendations, and remain allied with the community through consistent engagement,” Silvio said.
He added that these efforts align with directives from the national police chief and regional director.
