The local government of Muntinlupa City, through the Community Affairs and Development Office (CADO), held a “Family Fun Day” program on Saturday in Bliss, Putatan.
The event featured engaging activities for both children and parents, including fun games, storytelling sessions, and informative lectures on fire safety, disaster preparedness and nutrition.
Participating agencies included the Bureau of Fire Protection, City Health Office, Department of Disaster Resilience and Management, and the Muntinlupa City Public Library.
Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon emphasized that public service doesn’t take weekends off.
“In fact, there are no weekends for a mayor. There’s always something that needs to be done, whether inside or outside the office,” he said in Filipino.
Despite his busy schedule, Biazon said he finds fulfillment in joining community events like Family Fun Day.
“A mayor has a lot of responsibilities, but with that comes a great sense of fulfillment because a lot gets accomplished. Thank you to my fellow public servants who continue serving Muntinlupeños even on weekends!”
