Before adjourning sine die tonight, the Senate ratified the reconciled version of Senate Bill No. 2816 and House Bill No. 11287, which seek to extend the terms of office of Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials.
It also ratified the reconciled versions of five other bicameral conference committee reports, namely: Senate Bill No. 2982 and House Bill No. 11358 or the Judiciary Fiscal Autonomy Act; Senate Bill No. 2821 and House Bill No. 6571 or the Accelerated and Reformed Right-of-Way (ARROW) Act; House Bill No. 10535, an act amending Sections 134 and 168 of Republic Act 8424, otherwise known as the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997; Senate Bill No. 2826 and House Bill No. 8937 or the Enhanced Fiscal Regime for Large-Scale Metallic Mining Act; and Senate Bill No. 2899 and House Bill No. 9293 or the Philippine Nuclear Energy Safety Act.
